You’re reading the books, drinking herbal tea, stocking your essential oil and herbal apothecary and pinning all things natural and herbal. You really want to use herbs to take charge of your family’s health naturally, but you don’t have ANY free time to learn and it seems very overwhelming to “do it all.” So you close Pinterest to get the whimpering baby up from his nap. The herbal information goes unread and you feel even more confused and behind in your herbal journey.
Herb Folk is an exclusive subscription site dedicated to helping herbal-minded folks learn about and use herbs through the study and use of one herb a month.
Not only does this approach cut down on the overwhelm learning herbs can cause, but it solidifies what you are learning by immediately putting that knowledge to use through hands-on projects.

How Herb Folk Works
At the beginning of each month, you will receive information on the herb you will be studying for the next 30 days detailing what you will learn about the herb, the projects you will be making (food, skin care, medicinal, decor related), and the list of supplies you will need to make your projects.
You will then receive weekly information that will teach you one way the herb is commonly used. This information will be a mixture of my own personal stories and experiences with the plant, information from other practicing herbalists, information from herbal books or schools, and scientific studies done on the plant.
Each week you will have a DIY project to complete that corresponds to the information you’ve just learned about the herb. It’s very important that you complete the projects and use what you make. Not only does this sharpen your skills in making herbal preparations, but it cements what you’ve just learned in your mind.
At the end of the 30 day period, you will receive a recap of everything you learned about the herb as well as the projects you created.
In case we haven’t met yet, I’m Meagan, a registered nurse turned herbalist, and blogger at Growing Up Herbal. I want to live life naturally and you can follow along on my blog as my husband and I and our four sons figure out what natural living looks like for our family. And of course, I’d love for you to join me on this journey, too! There’s nothing better than having a good hiking buddy with a compass!
