So… did you catch that little rhyme in my blog post title?

Snazzy, right?

I should be a poet… or a children’s book author… or not.

Anyway, I thought that I’d break out of my normal and give you a little glimpse into my week this past week through some photos. Hope you enjoy!

This is a photo from outside of my home.

We live in the middle of the woods and the mountains are ablaze with color right now! This is one of the many things I love about living here in the Appalachia’s.

Autumn is one of my most favorite seasons. It’s beautiful, it’s cozy, it’s a time of preparation for the long, cold days ahead, the air is crisp and clear, and it makes me feel oh so thankful.

These are my sweet little men… all dressed up for the annual Cousin’s Harvest Party at Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop’s house.

Judah – 7 years old – is Davy Crocket if you didn’t know. I knew making him read that homeschool book about adventurous pioneers would pay off. (I say this as I pat myself on the back for being a good homeschool mom… that day at least.)

Isaiah – 5 years old – is a crazy scientist. He’s my silly kiddo. He likes to make us laugh, and he has a compassionate heart! He’s my artsy one!

Uriah – 3 years old – is a coal miner, and he’s super proud of the pickaxe his daddy made him in the woodshop. He uses it to chop down trees and fight off bad guys. He’s a rough and tough kinda kid on the outside, but he’s a softy on the inside. Man, I love that stinker!

Ezrah – 18 months old – is a lumberjack because he’s cool like that. Can you see his facepaint beard? He’s rocking it! This photo caught him perfectly yelling, “Cheese!”

My oh my! Lookie what I got in the mail today!

It’s a goodie bag from my friend Becca over at The Dabblist! It’s for her course – A Handmade Holiday,  and I’m so stinking excited to show you what’s in it I can hardly wait until November! Stay tuned. All will be revealed soon.

I hope you all had a great week this week to!

    Meagan,
Love your little boys, they are growing fast! Thanks for sharing these pictures of them.. Such cuties.
Love your picture of the autumn leaves..also you have a donkey and white horse? Wow way to go! What did you name them?
My happiness for this past week is learning how to canned meat with a pressure cooker. When I was little, one blew up for my Mom and I developed a fear of using one. I am so happy to tackle this fear because the meat turned out awesome! So many things I am grateful for, one of them is learning about herbs, putting them together with our food and develop a taste that I cannot be without..I know I am slowly healing and feeling the extra energy once more..life is good and I ‘m thankful for God’s Blessings, oh did I tell you, I got potatoes growing again, above and underground raise bed. Feeling Blessed, happy dance!
Excited to know more about your sneak peek..

Thanks Monica! The donkey and horse are not mine. They’re my MILs. The donkey’s name is Smokey, and this horse (there are 2) is General Madison. And I second canned meat in a pressure cooker. My mom does that with deer meat, and it’s AMAZING!
