Looking for an easy DIY shaving cream recipe that works well and is good for your skin? If so, I've got one for you to try that I think you'll like. ⁣

3 Ingredient DIY Shaving Cream⁣
⁣
Ingredients:⁣
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil⁣
3/4 cup organic aloe gel⁣
Essential oils of choice to scent⁣
⁣
Directions:⁣
Combine all ingredients in your magic bullet (any ole blender or immersion blender will work too). Blend on high for 3-5 minutes. The mixture will turn yellow and creamy. Pour in a glass jar, label, and store in the fridge. Use as needed. ⁣

To Use:⁣
Wait about 10-15 minutes after getting into the shower to shave. Next, pour a small amount out in your hands, slather it on, and then shave away. The razor glides smoothly and those irritating red bumps don’t show up afterward!⁣

If you end up trying this recipe, and you don't love it, you can do what I do most of the time and simply shave with your conditioner. It works really well too!

While many trends come and go, I’m hoping that these particular herbal trends stick around because I think they’re good for us in this digital age. 📲⁣

I say that because it’s just so easy for us herbal entrepreneurs to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of running a business or even fall into the comparison trap that is common in our online world. ⁣

I think slow herbal trends like those mentioned above help us to stay a bit more grounded and centered in our herbal practices. Wouldn’t you agree?⁣

If you’re looking for a way to wind down for the evening or to do something good for your skin, let me share my new favorite floral oat bath recipe with you. This recipe uses the skin-soothing power of oats along with the astringent and relaxing actions of floral plants to not only nourish your skin, but nourish your mind as well.⁣

DIY Floral Oat Bath⁣
⁣
Ingredients:⁣
1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats⁣
2 tablespoons calendula petals⁣
2 tablespoons chamomile flowers⁣
2 tablespoons lavender flowers⁣
2 tablespoons rose petals⁣
⁣
Directions:⁣
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Transfer to a labeled glass storage jar and seal tightly. When ready to use, place 1/4 cup of mix into a muslin drawstring bag. Tie the bag tightly and toss it into the bath as it fills with water. The floral oat bath will infused as the bath fills and as you soak.

PPS. If you don’t already have one, you can start your own little goldenrod patch quite easily. Just grab one or two handfuls of the seeds from one of these old flower tops, rough up the top layer of soil where you want your patch to be, and sprinkle the seeds in the soil. It’s that easy! In spring, the seeds will germinate, and by fall, you’ll be so glad to see these bright golden blooms around your home!
