Yesterday, I told you about a new, highly nutritious superfood I recently came across that I love and more importantly that my kids will take (because they don’t even know it’s in their food).

Maca Root Powder

It’s awesome and so healthy for the entire family.

I also mentioned that I had a delicious smoothie recipe for you that uses maca in it if you came back today. Well, here it is.

I call it the Maca Superfood Citrus Smoothie. Get the recipe below. You’ll love it and so will your kids!

You’ll need:

  • 2 inches of fresh ginger root – peeled and sliced
  • 2 oranges – juiced
  • 1-2 cups frozen pineapple
  • 1 cup greek yogurt (homemade will work too)
  • 1 TBSP raw honey
  • 1 TBSP of maca powder (or preferred amount)

Directions:

First, peel and slice your ginger root into small pieces and cut your oranges into halves to juice them. This is what I use if I only need a small amount of juice.

Next, put all your ingredients into your Vita-Mix or preferred blender and blend until smooth. Once your smoothie is blended well, put it on the lowest setting and slowly sprinkle your maca powder in so that it blends well and doesn’t clump.

Lastly, pour it up into a pretty glass mason jar, and enjoy!

Don’t forget that you can get 10% off any maca product from The Maca Team if you use coupon code “HERBAL” from now until March 17th!! Don’t miss it!
