Why I’m A Fan Of Perfect Supplements

As a mom, I’ve often wondered whether or not I should be supplementing my children’s diets with nutritional supplements.

In the past, I’ve often thought that many supplements could be avoided if I simply fed my family a high-quality diet. However, I’m finding that it’s a challenge to feed my family a perfect diet all the time, especially with new information coming out about gluten, chemical sprays on foods, nutrient depletion in soil, etc..

Sure, I could cook everything from scratch. I could ferment and culture more foods. I could include organ meats in meals. I could soak and sprout all the grains and legumes we eat. I could purchase all organic food too.

I could do all of these things 100% of the time, but I don’t. At least, not at this point in my life. Sure, I already do a lot of these things, but not to the extent that I’d need to in order to get all the nutrients needed out of the foods we eat. I also don’t want to spend all my time in the kitchen and my brain can only take in so much nutritional how-to info.

So yeah. I’ve come to the conclusion that there are times in our lives where I need to supplement with nutritional and herbal supplements, and this is where companies like Perfect Supplements come into play.

Hey, I’ve Heard Of That Company

The first time I heard of Perfect Supplements was through The Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle. Perfect Supplements had joined in as a bonus partner and were giving away gift certificates to their store. I remember checking their online shop out and immediately liking them. They offered almost every kind of supplement I was interested in for my family… including those from some of my favorite brands. They were like a one-stop shop for healthy nutritional supplements, and I knew I wanted to learn more about them.

If You Haven’t Already Heard Of Perfect Supplements… Let Me Introduce You To Them!

Perfect Supplements is a health and wellness company that offers a wide variety of high-quality, all natural, superfood supplements. Not only do they have their own line of supplements, but they sell other well-known brands like Garden of Life, Great Lakes, Green Patures, Dr. Mercola, Ancient Minerals, and many more.

One of my favorite things about this company is the values they stand for like:

  • Environmentally Friendly – Their products are all organic, wild-grown, and/or sustainably-harvested.
  • All Natural – They products are free of synthetic nutrients, artificial additives, and GMOs.
  • Fair Trade – All suppliers meet standards for fair pay and safe working conditions.
  • Community Support – They support many charities.
  • Healthy Living Education – They help you make informed health decisions.
  • Local and Family-Owned – They support family farms and “made in the USA.”
  • 100% Pure – Their products contain no fillers or flow agents like magnesium stearate.
  • Minimally Processed – Their products are freeze-dried and processed without chemicals.
  • cGMP – They’re certified for Good Manufacturing Processes.
  • Scientific Reasearch – Their product ingredients are backed by scientific research.
  • Fair Pricing – They use quality ingredients and price their products fairly.

So, not only do they offer a wide variety of supplements and have a great set of values that I can get behind, but they also have great customer service and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you find yourself unhappy with one of the products you’ve purchased, you can return it (even if it’s empty) within 60 days for a full refund. Now tha’s a guarantee!

My Favorite Perfect Supplement Products

In my house, we don’t often take the same supplements for long periods of time. Our supplements really depend on what season it is and what our diets are looking like at the moment. Most times, we all take a daily multivitamin (often from Garden of Life) and if we’re focusing on gut health, we add in probiotics as well (again, from Garden of Life)

During the cooler months, we focus a lot on immune health. Most times, we take cod liver oil (and sometimes high vitamin butter oil if we’re not taking a d3/k2 supplement) as well as vitamin c and herbal supplements for cold and flu season. However, this year, in addition to what we already take, I’m trying some of Perfect Supplements brand products like their perfect desiccated liver, perfect acai revive (the ingredients in this are AMAZING y’all), and perfect hydrolyzed collagen to help nourish my immune system. I’m excited to see how the winter months go, and I can totally see us adding some of these supplements into our daily regimin.

Be sure to check out the Perfect Supplements website to see what all they have to offer! They have great deals when you buy their line of products and their blog is full of awesome healthy living and eating info!

Could you elaborate on why you chose those specific supplements for your family…what exactly each is supposed to do? Thanks!

    • Meagan says:

Great question, Janell. You can learn more about the supplements I recommend and give to my family regularly in this post. It explains the “why” behind them. I’m trying the Perfect Supplements ones this winter for better immune and adrenaline health as well as skin, bone, and joint health. Check out the ingredients in the Revive product… it’s full of immune and adaptogen herbs. I’ll be writing a post soon on how I use the collagen everyday too. It’s delicious and easy for anyone! Hope this helps answer your questions!

  2. Monyka says:

I am a little disappointed in the over reliance on animal products in this post. The companies you listed do not provide information on how well the animals were treated and whether they collected the animal byproducts from an animal that was already being slaughtered for meat, as in was the entire animal used?

There is also a pattern of over reliance on nightshades, if you search it, you will find that more and more people are allergic to nightshades. It’s the route cause of many mistreated and un-diagnosed skin conditions.

I guess this sight is no longer for me. I don’t want to use animals, I want to love them. I also want to cut out all nightshades as people around me are developing sensitivity to nightshades.

    • Meagan says:

Thanks for sharing your concerns, Monyka. I’d suggest you contact the individual companies customer service departments for more information on the amimals they source their products from, but if you’re opposed to all animal supplements in general, many of these products are probably not for you in the first place. As far as nightshades and allergies go… I’m assuming that’s something each individual would need to know about and be on the look out for when purchasing supplements. And lastly, if you feel that Growing Up Herbal is no longer for you because I use animal products, then that’s totally your choice, and I wish you the best of luck finding other blogs that better aligns with your values.

Sometimes, I don’t always have time for a complete meal. I only have time, for, say, a banana and coffee before I’m out the door. I have always taken supplements to, well, supplement my “less than optimal” meals. If a pill is hard to swallow, you can try blending it in with a smoothie. I’ll get a bag of fresh frozen berries from the store (check the ingredients), a banana, and whatever supplements I need for the day (each day differs- I try to use a wide variety for whole health), and blend them together for a delicious smoothie that I can take with me, or freeze for later (especially good for the summer heat, AND good for you!)

    • Meagan says:

Very true, Thomas! Thanks for sharing! That’s a great way to get the benefits of supplements without having to swallow so many capsules!
